Please pray for Grace

Please pray for our daughter, Grace. She's at Biola University, she's doing well academically and she likes the school. I thank God for that, but I have some requests too :)

• Please pray for the right summer job for her--either at a camp or some kind of job that doesn't require a car (or for God to provide a car)--and God's wisdom about working in California to possibly establish residency there.
• Pray for a good roommate for her for next year.
• Pray for wisdom about possibly entering the Torrey honors program which would require more time and would probably make it diffiicult for her to have a job during school.
• Pray for all of us--being apart.

I think all of you Moms out there can appreciate these requests especially.

Bulletin Board by Grace

Before Grace left she did a bulletin board for my classroom. I loved hearing the students comments (before they knew it was my daughter who did it). "Wowwww....!" The Director of the school said that we're taking the bulletin board standards to a whole new level. I love it, because it's like a little part of Grace is still here with me.

We've been studying poetry, so she included excerpts from some poems that have been hanging around the room and some that she liked and she illustrated some of the concepts in an abstract, fantasy-like picture with an antique-y feel to it. Well, a picture is worth a thousands words....

We were so happy to have Grace here in Haiti for a month.
We did lots of stuff together and she took thousands of pictures. She was the photographer for the wedding of one of the teachers and the IT Technician at Quisqueya (where I work). She did a great job, very professional.
So I just had to post a picture like this...I know it's not her most photogenic moment, but seeing her loaded in the back of the pickup among the backpacks and bananas says so much about her time here. She took pictures of lots of things to help us have good pictures for our ministry and also for another ministry with a boys' home and a girls' home. It's really neat when you can use something you love to serve the Lord.
