Sunday's final game

Sunday night Rich's neighborhood team played a "friendly" match against the organizers of the tournament. It turned out to be a high scoring game and we tied at 7 to 7 (Rich scored a goal). But unfortunately the evangelism did not go as well as on Friday night. The spiritual atmosphere was completely different for one thing. Whereas on Friday night people were appluading Jesus' miracles as portrayed in the "Jesus film", on Sunday night a voodoo "RARA" band paraded past the field twice while we were playing and many people were drinking heavily. For some reason, the man who was supposed to do a Gospel presentation at half-time did not show up and so nothing was presented. Nevertheless, there were some evangelistic counselors in the crowd who got some people to fill out response cards so we could do a drawing and so I did get to say a few words between games and give out Bibles to the organizers.
The results from Friday night were very encouraging, however with 43 people trusting in Christ and over 328 people filling out response cards.
Please continue to pray as we follow up.
